In this study, we assume that someone explored a dataset using a tool such as Excel and that every step of their exploration process was recorded.
You will be presented with summaries of these recorded interactions. The goal of the study is to assess how much information participants can infer from these summaries.
After clicking the button at the bottom of this page, you will complete three use cases. Each use case presents a summary of a user's interaction with the tool. Two summary formats are used throughout the study:
Before each use cases, you will complete a short practice case to familiarize yourself with the summary format and the available interactions.
Each use case contains one question. Carefully review the summary and answer the question as completely as possible using only the information provided. The use cases are independent of one another, so you are not required to remember information from previous use cases. Once you are satisfied with your answer, you may proceed to the next use case.
